Creating a Renewal
How to use the Internet of Insurance to renew a policy
Start a renewal
To begin start a renewal, the agent will scroll down the submission summary page to the “Existing Policies” section. The agent can select the “Start Renewal” button above the table displaying lines of business.
Renew a Policy
The lines of coverage from the existing policy will be preselected, so the agent can select the Save and Continue button to renew the policy without making any changes to it.
Remove or Add Coverage to a Renewal
The agent can remove lines of coverage from a renewal by unticking the checkbox next to the coverage name.
Alternately, the agent can add coverage to a renewal by clicking the Add Another Line of Business link and entering a type of coverage or finding and selecting a coverage from the dropdown list.
Send Documents with a Renewal
The documents sent with the original submission will be preselected, so the agent can select the Save and Continue button to renew the policy without making any changes to it. The agent can add additional documents by selecting the Upload Documents button and uploading files from their computer. The agent can uncheck any documents they don’t want to include in the renewal.

Agent Opens Quote
The agent receives a notification that a renewal quote was received and clicks into the submission details to view the premiums.
Agent Binds Quote
After working with the customer, the agent clicks the Bind Selected Lines of Business button to Bind the quote.
When the underwriter shares the policy number(s) with the agent, the agent can enter the policy number(s) into the Policy Numbers fields and click Save Policy.
